Jackie Davenport

Hello, my name is Jackie Davenport and I am currently a Graduate student and TA in the (Biological) Anthropology program at ISU. I have a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology, both from Boise State University. My undergraduate work was done in Washington, Nevada, Arizona and Idaho. Additionally, the Abstract for my research in Arizona was published in the American Journal of Primatology in
2006.

My major area of interest is in primatology, specializing in Great Ape communication studies. I have worked with Spider Monkeys and Chimpanzees, and plan to further my research with Bonobos (and possibly Orangutans) at the Great Ape Trust here in Iowa. It is my hope to someday become involved in the conservation of these individuals in the wild, and to contribute to their well being in captivity as well.
