Karen Bovenmyer
Graduate Student

Karen Bovenmyer works full-time as a program assistant for the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching's Preparing Future Faculty program. She received a bachelor of science in 1997 with a triple major in anthropology, English, and history, and a master of arts in creative writing and literature in 2001.

Currently both an anthropology and history graduate student, Karen's area of interest is storytelling, especially collaborative and creative. Though she does not have a thesis topic as yet, her last paper, "Within Some Very Particular Bounds: A perspective on the Native American roleplaying game experience," incorporated informant interview fieldwork.
